SUMMER SATURDAY NIGHT CONCERT SERIES 2008
 

The second season of the Stonebridge Summer Saturday Night Concert Series will open June 7th at 7 p.m. on the Downtown Green in Wilmore. Chairs and tables will be provided, as well as refreshments for purchase from a local food vendor; or bring your own blanket or chairs and snacks. The concerts are free and open to the public.

June

7th: Young at Heart, Big band sound
14th : Kava Java Trio, Pop, blues, urban country
21st : Katie Penn Bluegrass Band, Bluegrass
28th : Dave McWhorter Trio with Kasi Crooks-Davis, Jazz, instrumental and vocals

July

5th : Bill Hall & Copperstone, Oldie-Goldies in rock & country
12th: Pi R Square Dixieland Band, Dixieland
19th: Red State Ramblers, Old time string band music
26th: Flute Symphony of Lexington and LOVE
(Lexington 's Original Viola Ensemble),
Classical

August

2nd: Reel World String Band , American roots music
9th: The Kentuckians Chorus, Barbershop
16th: No concert; attend the 4th Annual High Bridge Homecoming Festival at High Bridge
23rd: CVN, Christian Rock
30th: No concert; attend the J D Crowe Bluegrass Festival at Ichthus Farm

September

"Picnic Under the Stars" will close out the 2008 Stonebridge Summer Saturday Night Concerts on Saturday, September 6th, at the Downtown Green in Wilmore.  The big band sounds of  "The Metrognomes" will provide an evening of music for listening enjoyment, and the decorated dance floor will be ready for those wishing to dance.  "Three Suns Bistro" out of Brandon Crossing will be catering a la carte under the white tent with decorated tables in the Pavilion and on the Green available for diners.  There is no cost for the music and dance. Dining begins at 6:30 p.m. and the music and dance begin at 7:00 p.m.

Rain Location: The Wilmore Campground Tabernacle (except for June 21st ), 709 E Main Street, Wilmore.
