Holidays when garbage
will not be picked up:

New Years Day
Memorial Day
Labor Day
Christmas Eve and Day

Martin Luther King Day
Fourth of July
Thanksgiving Day
and Friday

If the holiday falls on a Saturday, we take Friday off: if it falls on a Sunday, we take Monday off.

You can check with our voice mail at any time to see if we are collecting or not that day and for further instructions. (858-4411)

Notice to customers receiving sanitation service from the City of Wilmore Sanitation Department.

Please notice the following restrictions regarding sanitation service effective immediately.

  1. NO…
    • Anti-freeze
    • Motor Oil
    • Rocks
    • Dirt
    • Paint of any kind
    • Lumber
    • Large pieces of furniture
    • Appliances
    • Tires
    • Chemicals
  2. Garbage cans weighing over seventy (70) lbs. will not be serviced.  To remedy this, you may increase the number of garbage cans to be emptied as to displace the weight.
  3. Bundled limbs, not to exceed four (4) feet in length, can be taken.
  4. The City of Wilmore Sanitation Department is not equipped to handle “Herbie Curbies.”  Please use thirty (30) gallon trashcans.
  5. Items not in a garbage can are an extra pick-up.  Please contact City Hall (858-4411 or 858-4412) for information about service and fees due.
