WILMORE WOMAN'S CLUB. 
The club this year will be commemorating its 50th year with  
a special celebration planned 
in November. 
The club meets at the 
Wilmore Senior Community Center 
at Wesley Village at 7:00 p.m. 
on the following dates:  October 9th, November 23, December 14, March 23, April 9th and May 14th.
  
At the upcoming October 9th meeting, Bill Davidson will give a review of life in Wilmore during these past fifty years.
Text Box:    In addition to dining, library services, and ongoing classes in exercise, creative writing, hand-crafts and water color painting, the following will be offered in September:
  
   Genealogy: find your roots – connect with living relatives! For beginners, find guidance with getting started. For those more experienced, get help with going back into more generations. Bring your research, your magazines and books; share them with others who may have common ancestors. Meeting times: every other Wednesday afternoon 
(Sept. 6, 20, Oct. 4, 18, and so on). Field trips included. Facilitator: Darlene Russell – tel. #858-4643. Fee per semester (through Dec. 31st): $10 / free with membership.
  
   Jessamine Crossroads: How Our County is Plugged into the World: a monthly forum to celebrate our county’s unique past, present and 
future. Meeting times: second Thursday of each month, 3:30 PM, beginning September 14th. Field trips will be added. Facilitator: Jeff McDanald, Jessamine County Adult Education Coordinator. Fee per semester (through Dec. 31st): $10 / free with membership.
  
   Basics of Computer and e-mail: back by popular demand, Senior Net of Kentucky provides instruction in basic operations through how to keep 
in touch with your grandchildren with an e-mail address. You do not need a computer for this class! Class times soon to be announced. Fee for six sessions and all materials: $59 / $49 with membership.  Instructor: Mike Seiler.
  
   Photography Club: forum for camera buffs to share new technologies and creative ideas. Meeting times soon to be announced. Facilitator: Ron Pohl.
 
   Performing Arts:  Costa Rica Youth Choir: ranging in age from 12 to 17, twenty-four students from the “Colegio Metodista” school in San Hose, Costa Rica, will present a program of lively classical, religious and folk songs.  Director, Roland Brenes, is well known for his excellent choir groups that tour extensively in North, South and Central America, winning many awards along the way. Come enjoy

   Distinguished Lecture/Artist Series: from Medford. Oregon, Mrs. Eda Jameson returns to Wilmore for her 23rd concert season performing recitals this year at both Asbury College and Wilmore’s new Senior 
Community Center at Wesley Village. Her first public appearance on piano was at the age of five. She performed the Grieg A minor concerto with full orchestra at age 13. For more that 70 years she has toured concert halls.
