    Now’s the time to pull out all the things stored in your garage, basement, attic, storage shed, whatever, and turn them into cash!  The annual Hometown Yard Sale takes place Saturday, June 20th, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. (or later if you want).

    Download an application  or pick up one at City Hall.  The fee of $10 covers cost of advertising in the Jessamine Journal and Lexington Herald Leader. You will also  receive a yard sale participant flag or balloon, and a tip sheet with lots of good yard sale info, and your address will be included on listings on line and hard copy.

  • The Providence of Freedome: An 18th Century Living History Presentation

    The Providence of Freedom, an 18th Century Living History presentation takes place on Saturday, May 30, 2015, on the Servant Heart Farm, adjacent to Wilmore’s Centennial Park. This primitive encampment will represent a time period from the French & Indian war through 1800 on the frontier.

    Visitors will stroll through a grove of trees adjacent to a creek, passing by campsites with reenactors in period costumes cooking over camp fires, crafting and selling period wares and telling tall tales! Expect to meet Francis Asbury, Daniel Boone, Ostenaco, Chief Cornstalk and other frontier settlers and merchants.

    Hours are 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Admission is free but donations to cover reenactors travel expenses are accepted. Enter at Centennial Park off Kinlaw Drive. Sponsored by Servant Heart Farm and the Wilmore Community Development Board.
