  • WILMORE NAMED #6 FOR SAFEST CITY IN KENTUCKY REPORT

    Mar, 17|| No Comments |

    Wilmore has been ranked #6 in the list of “Safest Cities in Kentucky 2017”, according to a recent report prepared by the National Council for Home Safety and Security. Wilmore was ranked 6 out of 50 communities, up from its 2016 ranking of 11.

    Data from the most recent FBI Uniform Crime Report statistics along with population data and internal research were used to determine city safety. Cities were ranked based on the number of reported violent crimes and property crimes per 100,000 people. These variables were then weighted, with violent crimes accounting for 70% of the total (due to their severity) and property crimes accounting for 30%.
