  • RJ Corman Annual 5K Run

    Start off your 4th of July celebration by participating in the 27th Annual RJ Corman Annual 5K Run on Saturday, July 1.  Choose between the 1 Mile Fun Run (begins at 7:30 AM) or the 5K Run (begins at 8 AM).  Both runs begin and end in front of Wilmore United Methodist Church, 209 East Main Street in Wilmore.

    The 5K includes top 3 (male and female) overall winners and top 3 (male and female) in each of the following age groups:  9 & Under, 10-14 years, 15-19 years, 20-24 years, 24-29 years, 30-34 years, 35-39 years, 40-44 years, 45-49 years, 50-54 years, 55-59 years, 60-64 years, 65-69 years, and 70+.

    The run extends through downtown Wilmore and through the Talbott subdivision.  All pre-registered 1 Mile and 5K entrants will receive a free t-shirt.  “Day of registration will also be available, but t-shirt supplies will be limited.  Water will be available along the course; refreshments will be offered after the race.  Prices are:

    5K Early Bird Entry Fee: $10 (received by June 28th)

    5K Entry Fee: $12

    1 Mile Fun Run Early Bird Entry Fee: $8 (by June 28th)

    1 Mile Fun Run Entry Fee: $10

  • US 68 400 MILE YARD SALE – JUNE 1-4, 2017

    Time to clean out the attic, comb through the closets, dig in the basements, and open those boxes in the garage or barn! It’s the annual US 68 400 Mile Yard Sale, June 1-4, at 9517 Harrodsburg Rd, Wilmore. The Servant Heart Farm (formerly known as the Icthus Farm) is the only registered site from north of Lexington to Mercer County at the Kentucky River! This is the 14th year for this 400-mile sale along historic US 68.

    Potential vendors can download the Vendor Application here and the Rules and Regulations here or pick up a set at the Wilmore City Hall. Questions: call Judy Woolums at 859-858-3895.More than 50 vendors participated last year selling antiques, collectibles, home goods, crafts and just plain ole “stuff.”
    The sale is a great way to raise funds for youth groups, Scouts, sports teams, non-profits, etc., or just make a little money by cleaning out no longer needed items And buyers are sure to find treasurers!
